4th of July Recipes to Fire Up Your Grill 🔥🇺🇸

The 4th of July is more than a cookout—it’s a day to pause, reflect, and celebrate the freedom we’re fortunate to enjoy. It’s about gathering with the people who matter most and honoring the American values of hard work, independence, and community.

At Wilders, we’re proud to raise our Wagyu beef and Berkshire pork right here in Eastern North Carolina, and we’re even prouder to be part of your family traditions, especially on a day like this.

So whether you’re planning a backyard gathering or just firing up the grill with close friends, here are four recipes to help you celebrate the 4th of July the WILD way—bold, flavorful, and unforgettable.

1. Wagyu Smashburgers

Quick, juicy, and packed with flavor. Use Wilders Wagyu burger patties and smash them on a hot griddle or cast-iron skillet for crispy edges and a tender center. Top with American cheese, pickles, and your favorite sauce on a toasted bun. Pro tip: make a double batch—they go fast.

2. Pulled Pork Sliders

Slow cook a Wilders Berkshire Boston Butt until it’s fall-apart tender, then shred and pile it high on slider buns. Add a scoop of coleslaw and a drizzle of BBQ sauce for that perfect sweet-and-savory bite. These are great for feeding a crowd with minimal effort.

3. Bacon-Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers

Mix cream cheese, cheddar, and garlic powder, then stuff halved jalapeños with the mixture. Wrap each with a strip of Wilders Berkshire pork bacon and bake or grill until the bacon is crisp and the peppers are tender. Smoky, creamy, and just the right amount of heat.

4. Sweet Heat Wagyu Kebabs

A show-stopping main course with a little kick. Cube 3–4 Wilders Wagyu chuck eye steaks and marinate them in a mix of soy sauce, honey, sriracha, lime juice, olive oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Thread the beef onto skewers with bell peppers and red onion, then grill for 3–4 minutes per side until caramelized and medium-rare. Serve with rice, grilled corn, or a fresh summer salad for a full plate that’s guaranteed to impress.

Freedom, Flavor, and the WILD Way

The 4th of July is a reminder of the freedom we get to live out every day—on our farms, in our homes, and around our tables. However you’re celebrating, we’re honored to be a small part of it.
