CLASSIC CHEESEBURGER WITH HOMEMADE BURGER SAUCE

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Wilders Wagyu ground beef

  • 4 hamburger buns

  • 4 slices of cheese (Cheddar, American, Swiss, or your choice)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, onion slices, pickles

For the homemade burger sauce:

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon pickle relish (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop griddle to medium-high heat.
  2. To make the homemade burger sauce, in a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickle relish (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  3. Divide the Wilders Wagyu ground beef into four equal portions. Gently shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up while cooking.
  4. Season both sides of the patties generously with salt and pepper.
  5. Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side without pressing down on them.
  6. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches your desired level. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on top of each patty.
  7. While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  8. Once the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your liking, remove them from the grill.
  9. Assemble your cheeseburgers by spreading a generous amount of homemade burger sauce on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a patty on top of the sauce. Add your desired toppings such as lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. Place the top half of each bun over the toppings and enjoy your delicious homemade cheeseburgers!
